- Saline Infusion Sonography (SIS): This is a non-invasive technique that involves injecting sterile saline into the uterine cavity during ultrasound to better visualize and measure the endometrial lining and identify intrauterine lesions or assess fallopian tube patency.
- Hysteroscopy: This procedure is a direct visualization and treatment of intrauterine pathology, allowing for diagnosis and immediate intervention, though it is more invasive than ultrasound-based methods.
- Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) : HSG is a specialized X-ray test where a contrast dye is injected through the cervix into the uterine cavity and fallopian tubes. This dye outlines the internal shape of the uterus and shows whether the fallopian tubes are open or blocked.
