    Treatment Options:

    • Improving Sperm Quantity and Quality

For many cases, fertility can be optimised through a combination of lifestyle changes and medical support:

      • Lifestyle Interventions:

      • Balanced nutrition rich in antioxidants (e.g., fruits, vegetables, omega-3 sources)
      • Maintaining a healthy weight and regular exercise
      • Reducing or eliminating smoking and excessive alcohol use
      • Managing stress and ensuring sufficient, quality sleep
      • Avoiding prolonged heat exposure to the testicular area (tight clothing, hot tubs)
      • Taking supplements as recommended by your treating Specialist
      • Medical Support:

      • In selected cases, medications or hormonal therapies may be prescribed to enhance testicular function and sperm production.
    • Surgical Sperm Retrieval

When sperm is absent in the ejaculate or when production is extremely limited, surgical retrieval may be recommended. These procedures are performed under anaesthesia and include:

      • PESA (Percutaneous Epididymal Sperm Aspiration) - sperm collection from epididymis
      • TESA (Testicular Sperm Aspiration) - aspiration directly from the testes
      • TESE / Open Biopsy - direct sampling from seminiferous tubules
      • Micro-TESE - microsurgical retrieval for severe production deficits
    • Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART)

When natural conception is unlikely due to poor sperm quality or quantity, ART provides effective treatment pathways for couples:
